Ugly Celing Fans: A Dining Room Story

We recently bought a home in South Minneapolis, Its a traditional tudor style home.

This home was owned by a woman and her family for 50+ years.

and probably had not been touched since the late 1960's/early 1970's

One particular room was the dining room....

Originally it felt very dark and small

beginning renovations

As amazing as the existing fan was.... I decided to update with this West Elm pendent light.

We removed the carpet, and had the floors sanded and updated.

 the adjacent living room is painted a dark navy blue, and wanted to leave the contrast between the two rooms. We may add a 'paint-by-number' on the wall, however, we are not there yet....
