DIY Fabric 'Wallpaper'

I have recently had a fixation with wallpaper, and can often not make up my mind which pattern I like- and what if I get sick of it....
Here is a GREAT way to get the wallpaper look- without the cost or the longevity.
The coolest part? When you decide to remove it- NO GLUE/HARM to the WALLS!
If you are a renter- this would be a easy way to brighten up any room!
(This application is recommended for non-textured walls only)

What you need before you begin:

1. Liquid Starch or Corn Starch- *If you decide to use Corn Starch: Boil 4 cups of water in a pot. Mix about 3/8 cup cornstarch with a little water in a small bowl until the powder is dissolved. Add the cornstarch mixture to the water slowly while stirring. Boil until thickened and then let it cool.- Use in the same directions below with your mixture instead of Liquid Starch.
2. Scissors
3. Cotton Fabric (Light weight)
4. Tacks/Painters Tape
5. Drop Cloth
6. Painting Roller
7. Paint Tray
8. Utility Knife
9. Step Ladder
10. Friend (This is a Two-Person job)

Here is a Step By Step:
1. Pre-wash your fabric.
2. Remove outlet covers.
3. Hang fabric where you want it on the wall using painters tape or tacks. Leave excess past the baseboard- you will be cutting the excess off at the end.
(Dry Wall = Use Tacks/ Plaster Walls = painters tape)

4. Have friend lift hanging fabric, and using a roller, begin applying Liquid Starch to the wall under the fabric.
5. Adhere fabric to wall, and begin smoothing out- start from the top and move your way down.

 6. Once the fabric is starting to adhere and has been smoothed out- roller more liquid starch over the top of the fabric to seal it.
7. Once the fabric is completely dry- remove the tape/tacks and starch around that area.
8. Take a straight edge and utility knife to remove any excess fabric.

And when your sick of it, use a warm sponge and pull off!
